Egypt’s Revolution for an Islamic Democracy

As demonstrators in the streets of Cairo seek to topple the Mubarak dictatorship in Egypt, consider what the Director of the Institute for Strategic Studies is reporting on Egyptian television: It is “a disgrace for Al Qaeda” to attack the people of Egypt and fail to attack Israeli targets. While his point is false, Al Qaeda has attacked civilian targets inside Israel, the objective of the broadcast is clear: Kill the infidel nation of Israel. Moroever, in the Egyptian government’s weekly, Al-Liwaa Al-Islami, an article just came out that speaks to the annihilation and destruction of the Jewish people. On radio and television the steady drumbeat of murder and mayhem continues against non-Muslims.

As Americans, we need to communicate to our nation’s leaders that Israel remains on the front lines of global jihad. As a result, Israel needs our support – we are in this fight against Islamic jihad together. As the U.S. faces a $1.5 trillion deficit this year, request an end to the $1.5 billion we are set to give Egypt this year.

Why do we continue to fund Egypt, a nation that continues to foment terrorism through government controlled print and electronic media outlets?

Foreign aid to Egypt is premised on the notion that Americans must continue to buy “peace” from a Muslim nation to ensure stability in the region. Why so? Shariah law stipulates that infidels must pay a price for their peace and safety. While peace is better than war, war is better than buying off so-called “friendly” Muslim nations. Americans need and want peace – but a just peace, not one annually bought and paid for by American taxpayers!
