A meeting in Tehran between Syria’s Islamic leader, the Grand Mufti, Sheikh Hassoun, and the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Saeed Jalili, was aired on Iran’s Press TV. Jalili stated: The “Israeli regime would regret attacking Syria.” [See:http://www.presstv.ir/detail/2013/01/31/286611/muslims-will-never-let-israel-attack-syria/]
Another Iranian official confirms that Damascus leads the Islamic anti-Israel campaign of terror and that Muslims will not tolerate an Israeli march on Syria.
While not interested in “marching” on Syria, Israel however will not allow terrorist groups to arm themselves with what Israeli intelligence sources suggest were chemical and conventional weapons in a convoy leaving Syria and bound for Hizballah, a terrorist group sponsored by Iran, inside Lebanon.
Hizballah has demonstrated its obsession to attack Israelis. Hizballah terrorists have fired over 33,000 rockets into Israel – taking aim at civilian locations inside the small Jewish state that borders both Syria and Hizballah controlled southern Lebanon.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Ramin Mehmanparast, has also condemned Israel’s airstrike along Syria’s border with Lebanon. Though Syria has been involved in a bloody civil war that has come to symbolize barbarism on both sides since 2011, the Foreign Ministry Spokesman manages to blame the Israelis for creating “insecurity and instability in the region.” [See:http://www.presstv.ir/detail/2013/01/31/286559/israel-after-creating-instability-in-me/]
While the United States has maintained silence on the issue, refusing to come out in support of Israel, the Russians have also joined the Muslim world’s chorus of condemnation against Jerusalem with the Russian Foreign Ministry saying, “If this information is confirmed, then we are dealing with unprovoked strikes . . . unacceptable, no matter the motive used for its justification.”
Are the Russians kidding? The Russian military is known for its brutality against Muslim Chechen militants as the Chechen movement attacked the territorial integrity of southwest Russia in its desire to establish an independent Muslim state in the Caucasus Mountains.
Despite denunciations by the Russians, or by Iran and the Muslim world, Israel remains justified in its “right” of self-defense. She is determined to survive and protect its citizens from an on-going Islamic war of attrition by terrorists who continue to arm themselves in order to terrorize and murder unarmed civilians and destroy Israel.
