In speaking to the Trilateral Commission, Secretary Kerry informed a group of world leaders from Western Europe and Asia that should Israel not accept the Obama plan for a two-state solution, the Jewish state risked becoming an “apartheid” regime. Might Israel become an apartheid state – true or false?
Here are the facts: Arabs in Israel enjoy the same rights and opportunities as their fellow Jewish citizens. Arabs enjoy full voting rights, their own political parties, seats in the Knesset and on the Supreme Court, representation in Israel’s diplomatic service in countries around the globe and study in Israeli schools and universities. The distinctive difference is that Arabs are free to opt out of military service and generally do, unlike mandatory conscription for Israel’s Jewish men and women over the age of 18.
Yet despite all this, Kerry has threatened Israelis, rather than Palestinians, suggesting that numerous disasters will befall Israel if team Obama’s diplomatic efforts for a two-state solution are not realized.
Calamities articulated by Kerry include a third intifada with a rash of suicide bombers, isolation, divestments, more boycotts — and now apartheid.
Meanwhile, Israeli Arabs, mostly Muslim, who make up about 20% of Israel’s population, show their appreciation for living in the only democratic state with real opportunity for economic advancement in the Middle East, by terrorizing Israeli Jews and Christians.
In addition, Arab nations, known for violence against the remnant of Jews who have tried to remain in their historic neighborhood communities in places like Iraq, Libya, Syria and Egypt, have for the most part all fled and in the process lost everything.
As Secretary Kerry and President Obama continue to blame Israel for the breakdown in peace talks, Palestinian Authority’s FATAH Chairman, Abbas and the Islamic Resistance Movement or HAMAS leader, Mashaal, are meeting in Qatar. [Note: Photo image is of Abbas, FATAH Chairman and Haniyeh, HAMAS PM]
Both Palestinian leaders and the Palestinian factions they represent, refuse to recognize Israel as a Jewish state and have signed an agreement to join forces under a “unity government.”
Like HAMAS, FATAH and its military wing have promised to turn Tel Aviv into a “ball of fire” and destroy Israel through armed resistance. [See http://www.palwatch.org/main.aspx?fi=472&fld_id=474&doc_id=10530 ]
The Palestinian Authority and its FATAH leader, Abbas, have also allowed the publication of statements indicating that the primary goal of “peace talks” with Israel has been to secure the release of Palestinian terrorists from Israeli prisons who have murdered innocent men, women and children. This was confirmed in March of this year. [Seehttp://palwatch.org/main.aspx?fi=157&doc_id=11142 ]
FATAH means conquest in Arabic and is a reverse acronym of an Arabic phrase meaning “conquest by means of jihad” or Islamic holy war. The flag of Fatah features a grenade with crossed rifles superimposed on the map of Israel.
Highlighting this symbolism, the FATAH and HAMAS leadership has been busy thanking Rachid Ghannouchi. He is the leader of Tunisia’s major Muslim Brotherhood linked group, Al Nahda. Ghannouchi has been instrumental in reuniting these two terror groups.
Although banned from entering the United States during the 1990s for Ghannouchi’s commitment to Palestinian terrorism, the Obama administration lifted this ban in 2011. Now Ghannouchi has had the honor of meeting with two State Department officials in Washington in 2013 and again in February of 2014. To be clear, while Palestinian leaders promote a hate campaign that incite terrorism against a civilian population through every conceivable media channel and religious school and mosque, the U.S. Secretary of State insults an American ally that affords its enemies free speech rights.
Strategic Solutions supports Senator Ted Cruz and others in their request that Secretary Kerry resign over his statements that Israel could become an “apartheid” state. [Hear Ted Cruz at http://youtu.be/mhSMnAPRlAc ]
Such pronouncements reflect Kerry’s ignorance and lack of sensibilities regarding Israel’s democratic principles and the determination of Arab Muslims to deny Jews their own state.
Strategic Solutions recommends for greater stability and progress towards a real peace in the Middle East, the U.S. government end the “peace-process” charade and deal with the Palestinian movement for what it is – diverse factions – dedicated to Israel’s destruction and terrorizing Jews and Christians around the globe.
