Hear this week’s special guest, Director Jeff Daube of the Zionist Organization of America in Jerusalem speak to why the U.S. Embassy move from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem is an historic event so significant that it impacts not only Israel, but the United States as well.
This week’s broadcast also includes a discussion on the reality of a strong Israel, allied with the United States, translates into greater Middle East stability based on a foreign policy approach known as “peace through strength.”
Moreover, this embassy move by the United States also rights a grave historic injustice. For the Jewish people, Jerusalem has been their capital since the first Jewish Kingdom in 1004 B.C., some 3,000 years ago. But for a brief period, during the Crusader period, no other non-Jewish power made the city of Jerusalem its capital city. Moreover, Jerusalem holds a central spiritual and physical place in the hearts and minds of the Jewish people, as demonstrated in the Holy Scriptures.
When the divided “City on a Hill” was finally reunified in 1967 under Israeli leadership, following a Muslim Arab attack on Israel, it was the fulfillment of an unbroken longing of the Jewish people.
As Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated at the opening ceremony of the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem: “In Jerusalem, Abraham passed the greatest test of faith and the right to be the father of our nation.
In Jerusalem, King David established our capital three thousand years ago.
In Jerusalem, King Solomon built our Temple, which stood for many centuries.
In Jerusalem, Jewish exiles from Babylon rebuilt the Temple, which stood for many more centuries.
In Jerusalem, the Maccabees rededicated that Temple and restored Jewish sovereignty in this land.
And it was here in Jerusalem some two thousand years later that the soldiers of Israel spoke three immortal words, ‘Har ha’bayit be’yadeinu,’ ‘The Temple Mount is in our hands,’ words that lifted the spirit of the entire nation.
We are in Jerusalem and we are here to stay.” [See: https://www.timesofisrael.com/full-text-of-netanyahus-speech-at-the-opening-of-the-us-embassy-in-jerusalem/ ]
Meanwhile, the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, continues to pay its supporters to violently protest at the Israeli-Gaza border with hand grenades, pipe bombs, weaponized kites, guns, etc.
Social Media posts tell Muslim Arabs after breaching the fence to hit specific Israeli towns such as Sderot, urging Hamas followers to do the following: “Murder, slaughter, burn and never show them any mercy.” [See: https://www.memri.org/reports/great-return-march-campaign-initiative-sponsored-hamas-whose-goal-was-breach-border-fence]
And despite Muslims “Palestinians” continued acts of barbarism under the leadership of Hamas, learn why the numbers of dead, a focus of every media outlet, may continue to rise despite the fact that Israel continues to drop leaflets, make phone calls, and reach out to the local population in the Gaza warning them to stay clear of the terrorist attacks, by their people, along the Gaza-Israel border.
