On Egyptian television it is suggested that raping “Christian women” is okay – they are not “veiled” and therefore are without shame and “devils in the form of women.”
These statements and more were made by a Muslim imam khatib or cleric, what might be considered in the West as the equivalent of a Christian pastor or Jewish rabbi, on Egypt’s Al-Omma television. To see this televised clip click here.
Another Egyptian leader, Sheikh Adel Shehato, a senior official in the Egyptian Islamic Jihad, stated in a newspaper interview: “The Christian is free to worship his God in his church, but if the Christians make problems for the Muslims, I will exterminate them.” To read the full report review click here.
Sheikh Shehato had been in prison during former Hosni Mubarak’s presidency, however, during the Egyptian revolution as the Muslim Brotherhood assumed control, several terrorists were released from prison, including the brother of Al-Qaeda’s leader, Ayman Zawahiri who called for the murder of Americans in Benghazi.
In that same interview, Sheikh Shehato went on to say that “infidels” must be “killed because they do not rule according to the shari’a,” or Sharia law.
A Fatwa or Islamic ruling also came out just this last week sanctioning the murder of Egypt’s opposition. Sadly, Egypt’s small Christian minority is considered a part of this opposition to the Muslim Brotherhood leadership in Cairo. Click here for a full report.
Concerning such horrific persecution by the Muslim Brotherhood against those who oppose their leadership, an Egyptian human rights activist wrote an open letter this month to President Obama concerning the President’s support for the Muslim Brotherhood’s reign of terror in Egypt. He indicated that America’s backing of the regime is resulting in bloodshed in the streets of his country. Here are his own words: “Mr. President . . . . In one week, more than 60 people died in several governorates, and there were dozens of reported gang rapes and assaults. Hundreds of people were arrested and an unknown number abducted. One of them – 23-year-old Mohamed Al-Guindi – reappeared a few days later in a hospital, brutally tortured, and soon died.
“Mr. President . . . further American statements supporting the current Egyptian regime will only lead to more Egyptians being beaten, raped, tortured, and killed. Please, ask officials with your administration to stop talking about Egypt for a while, at least until we can bury our dead, comfort their grieving families, treat the victims of rape and torture, find the disappeared, and read the wills of a new generation of young people who plan not for their weddings but for their funerals.” Click here to review this document.
So the question remains: When is President Obama going to end his administration’s cover for an Islamic government lead by President Morsi, known as the Muslim Brotherhood enforcer, who invented a new Egyptian constitution, rooted in Sharia law with religious police now out in force, emboldening Muslims who march through the streets lead by bearded men with swords on horseback chanting Egypt will be “Islamic, Islamic, despite the Christians.”
Yes Mr. President, the massacre of Christians and others in Egypt who oppose the Islamist rule of the Brotherhood, is becoming routine in Egypt. When will you use your influence to end the savagery or stop aiding and abetting this slaughter with American made weapons and an annual foreign aid package that includes $1.3 billion? Many an American taxpayer fails to see the benefit of supporting such an evil regime.
