Update: Massive Foreign Assistance to America’s Enemies

An important strategic ally has suffered numerous more incidents of terrorism against their own since the United States’ government last transferred millions of American taxpayer dollars to the Palestinians, the Palestinian Authority, and Hamas in 2009. (See Massive Foreign Assistance to America’s Enemies above.) Israel suffered another lethal terrorist attack on the 25th of December. The father of seven children was murdered by the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, an integral part of the Palestinian Authority, (PA), which is the Fatah movement, lead by Mahmoud Abbas, the ruling authority of the Muslim Arab population living in Israel’s historic homeland of Judea and Samaria, (also known as the West Bank).

In the immediate aftermath of seven more fatherless, Israeli children, the PA has set out to portray the glorification of these terrorists, as Palestinian heroes and Shahids — holy Martyrs. (See video on PA controlled television.)

How can the United States and our allies achieve victory in fighting a global war against Jihadists, when the President and Congress continue to circumvent federal statutes and the principles of decency upon which Western civilization was established, by refusing to follow expressly stated stipulations found in the law? The 2009 Omnibus Appropriations Act, Public Law 111-8, Sec. 7039, (b) and (c), Section 7039 (b) prohibits the funding and economic support of any “individual, private, or government entity, …[that] advocates, plans, sponsors, engages in, or has engaged in, terrorist activity….” Furthermore, Section 7039, (c) (1) notes, that funds cannot be granted to the West Bank and Gaza that “…may be made available for the purpose of recognizing or otherwise honoring individuals who commit, or have committed acts of terrorism.”

As Congress considers the 2010 Appropriations Act, contact your Congressional Representatives in Washington and write the President. Say NO to FY2010 appropriations legislation that will grant additional millions to the Palestinians.
